About the course

The Flinders Island Sports & RSL Club is in Whitemark, the main town on Flinders Island in Bass Strait, a short walk from the town's shops at 33 Esplanade. Its golf course is a nine-hole links played as 18 holes, with a par of 71 over 5319 metres and an ACR of 67. Island tourism and council material both note that the course has been parred only once in its 40-year history.

The club remains active: in 2025 Flinders Council funded an upgrade of the course's automatic water pump through its community grants, and a Gunn Bequest grant helped bring a professional golf instructor to the island. In earlier years the women's golf club has flown by charter to the Cape Barren (Golf) Classic on neighbouring Cape Barren Island.

Green fees, tee times and visitor arrangements for golf are not published online; contact the club before playing.

Besides golf, the club has a full-size synthetic lawn bowls green, where visitors can join Saturday afternoon competitions or Friday social games in summer, and tennis courts.
