About the course

Bendigo Golf Club opened on 21 August 1901 as a six-hole course at Epsom, with Mayor Simeon Ryan hitting the first shot, and its first annual tournament in 1909 drew about 600 entries. In 1914 the club bought 76 acres freehold, including a house that was extended into the clubhouse and officially opened on 10 June that year. In 1939 the American champion Babe Didrikson played an exhibition match on the course, then a sand-scrape layout, and went round in 76. The club is on Golf Course Road, about 10 minutes north of the Bendigo CBD.

The 18-hole course plays as a 6,040-metre par 72 for men and a 5,353-metre par 73 for women. White posts mark 150 metres to the centre of the green, and sprinkler heads carry distances.

Visitors can book tee times online after registering, or call the reservations team on (03) 5448 4878. Fees, effective 1 March 2026, are $45 for 18 holes and $30 for nine, with juniors $25 and $15. Carts are $50 for 18 holes and $30 for nine, pull buggies $5 and hire clubs $20. Daily competitions run on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with a $15 entry on top of the green fee for visitors.

The club has a driving range and practice fairway, a pro shop, a fully licensed bar and an outdoor deck and barbecue area, and hosts corporate golf days with automated scorecards and a leaderboard.
