About the course
Craigieburn Golf Course is an 18-hole public course on Craigieburn Road West, run from the Craigieburn Sporting Club in Melbourne's outer north. It opened as Willmott Park Golf Course: in April 1975 the Lower Heidelberg Golf Club moved here from the Yarra Bend course and renamed itself Willmott Park Golf Club, and a few years later the council renamed the course Craigieburn Golf Course. A second club, the Craigieburn Golf Club, was started in 1993 by twelve Sporting Club members known as the "dirty dozen". The two clubs shared the building for two decades and merged on 1 July 2013 as the Craigieburn-Willmott Golf Club, which now has more than 200 members and runs midweek and weekend competitions.
The course is a par 72 of 6,142 metres. Practice facilities are a chipping green, a putting green and three warm-up nets.
Visitors pay $26 for 18 holes and $20 for nine on weekdays, and $33 and $28 on weekends, under prices that took effect on 22 December 2025. Juniors (under 21) and seniors pay reduced rates. Motorised carts cost $48 for 18 holes and $35 for nine, seven days a week. Tee times can be booked online or by phoning the golf course. The dress code asks for neat, casual clothing and enclosed golf shoes, and singlets, tracksuits, thongs and sandals are not allowed. Golf Australia handicaps can be obtained through the Craigieburn-Willmott Golf Club.
The Sporting Club's Fairways Bistro overlooks the course and is open seven days for lunch, with dinner from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. There is also a members' bar and an outdoor balcony.
