About the course
Loch Sport Golf Club is at Loch Sport in Gippsland, on the strip of land between Lake Victoria and the Ninety Mile Beach. The town is about 40 minutes' drive from Sale and roughly three hours from the Melbourne CBD.
The club plays over an 18-hole course with sand greens, and it is the home of the Victorian Sand Green Championships.
The course is open to visitors every day of the week. Green fee players can turn up at any time and pay into the honesty box at the clubhouse. Golfers with a GolfLink handicap are welcome to join the club competitions on Wednesday and Saturday, gathering at 9am for a 9.30am start.
A new clubhouse with full disability access was completed in early 2021, funded by grants from the Latrobe Valley Authority and Wellington Shire Council with strong support from the Loch Sport community. The club lists its contact hours as 9am to 5pm, seven days. Country membership is offered to golfers who live at least 25 kilometres from the club, which may suit regular visitors from elsewhere in Gippsland.
