About the course
Ringwood Golf is a public course run by Maroondah Leisure, part of Maroondah City Council, on Canterbury Road in Ringwood. The front nine opened in March 1974 and the back nine in June 1976. It is home to the Ringwood Golf Club, which formed in 1964 as the Eastfield Golf Club, took the Ringwood name in 1965 and played at Olinda and Chirnside Park before settling here.
The 18-hole course is a par 70 of 5,344 metres from the blue tees, with five par 3s and three par 5s. Dandenong Creek runs along the early holes and EastLink borders the 12th.
- 2nd: a 389-metre par 4, rated the hardest hole, with shrubs and reeds guarding the left corner.
- 6th: the longest hole, a 505-metre par 5 with a big slope at the front of the green.
- 9th: a 223-metre par 4 within reach of long hitters, guarded by five bunkers.
- 16th: a 190-metre downhill par 3 with views to the Dandenong Ranges.
The course is open seven days from dawn to sunset. Bookings can be made online or by phone up to seven days ahead; from 1 September 2026 the person booking must play and can book a maximum of four. Midweek adult fees are $42 for 18 holes and $33 for nine, rising to $49 and $37 on weekends and public holidays, with senior and concession rates midweek. Club hire with a buggy is $27 for 18 holes and a GPS cart is $47 midweek. The Ringwood Golf Club runs men's competitions on Wednesdays, women's on Thursdays and mixed events on Mondays and Saturdays, and several social groups play on Tuesday mornings.
Facilities include two practice putting greens, practice nets, a golf simulator ($10 for 30 minutes), lessons, a golf shop with regripping, and the licensed Mister Fox Café.
