About the course
Rokewood Golf Club is at 2563 Rokewood-Shelford Road, Rokewood, a small farming town in the Golden Plains Shire. It has been operating for almost a century and is affiliated with Ballarat District Golf. In the past few years the club has put money into its course and facilities and has picked up new members.
The course uses sand scrapes rather than grass greens, with bunkers. The district association's listing also shows a practice green, chipping green and driving range, with power carts, push buggies and clubs for hire. The clubhouse opens during events.
Everyone is welcome and no golf experience is needed. The green fee is $10 a round, and the club competition is played on Saturdays from 12pm. Membership is $150 for full members and $50 for social members. The club runs an annual tournament each June, held in 2025 and again from 5 to 7 June 2026. Contact is through the club's Facebook page or by email to rokewoodgolf@hotmail.com.
