About the course

Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club is a member-owned club in Point Cook, about 20 kilometres west of the Melbourne CBD, and is open to members and the public. It marked 25 years in 2025. The course is a Greg Norman signature design, laid out around the lakes and wetlands of Sanctuary Lakes.

The 18 holes play as a links-style par 72 of 6,489 metres from the championship tees, with several tee options on every hole. Deep pot bunkers guard generous fairways, the rough is thick fescue, and the greens are firm and undulating. Wind off the water affects most shots, with a prevailing south-westerly.

  • 6th: a par 3 of 136 to 156 metres, carrying a small, deep lake to a wide green.
  • 13th: the only hole running east to west, with a cross bunker 50 metres short of a three-tiered green.
  • 17th: the longest par 3, often into a northerly, to a green split by a spine.
  • 18th: a par 4 of up to 414 metres with a lake along the entire left side and an island green.

Visitors can play seven days a week after registering online as a public member, or by calling the golf shop on (03) 9395 2888. Green fees are $95 for 18 holes and $55 for nine. Carts are $55 and $30, pull buggies $10 and $5, and hire clubs $40 and $25. A dress code applies.

The driving range, Golf Park @ Sanctuary Lakes, has Toptracer screens in every bay and is open until 9pm daily. The golf shop opens from 6.30am in daylight saving and offers repairs and club fitting. The clubhouse restaurant overlooks the 18th green, and the club also has function spaces and on-site accommodation.
