About the course
Embleton Golf Course is a public nine-hole course on McGregor Street in Embleton, about 7 kilometres from the Perth CBD. It is a short course of par 3 and par 4 holes, playing to par 31 over 1737 metres, and draws golfers of all ages and abilities.
The course is open to the public all year, from 6am to 6pm in summer and 6.30am to 5pm in winter. Tee times are booked by phone or at the pro shop, and walk-ins are welcome, though it gets busy. Midweek green fees are $26 for nine holes and $38 for 18, with concession rates midweek. Twilight golf is walk-in only, without motorised carts. Carts are $30 for nine holes and $45 for 18, and standard club sets with a pull buggy can be hired from the pro shop, which also handles fittings, with left-handed, ladies' and longer clubs on request.
There is a putting practice area, but no driving range on site. Lessons with a PGA professional are given at the sister course, Maylands, 10 to 15 minutes away on the Swan River, which has a full-length range. The on-site cafe, open to golfers and the public, serves sandwiches, pies, sausage rolls, cooked food, cakes and coffee, and the course offers corporate golf packages and functions.
