About the course
Hamersley Public Golf Course is an 18-hole public course on Marmion Avenue in Karrinyup, about 20 minutes from the Perth CBD. It is run by the City of Stirling as part of Stirling Leisure.
The course is set in parkland and every hole is lined with trees. It is pitched at golfers of all standards, and the City's pro shop staff marshal the course during play.
Bookings must be made online and open 14.5 days ahead at 7pm; up to five tee times can be booked in one transaction, and groups of 20 or more can arrange a booking by email. Weekday green fees are $37 for 18 holes and $28 for nine, with concession rates of $29 and $24 for pension, seniors, student and DVA card holders. Weekends cost $44 and $35 with no concessions, and twilight golf is $20 from 1.75 hours before closing. EZ GO electric carts cost $50 for 18 holes and $39 for nine, pull trolleys $10 and hire sets $39. Dress is smart casual, with t-shirts allowed, but sports or golf shoes must be worn. Opening hours change with the season, from 5.30am in summer to 7am in mid-winter.
The driving range has 30 automated bays over two levels with Inrange ball tracking, shot data and game modes, and can be booked in 30, 60 or 90 minute sessions. It stays open into the evening, until 10pm for much of the year, and opens at 8am on Thursdays for maintenance. PGA professionals Ben Percival and Danielle Peers give lessons through the week, with coaching, clinics and custom fittings booked through the Hamersley Golf Academy. For food and drink, the City directs golfers to Caddys or Sunny Social.
