About the course

Lake Claremont Golf Course is a public nine-hole course on Lapsley Road in Claremont, beside Lake Claremont, and every hole is a par 3. In 2017 the Town of Claremont appointed Golf Oracle, a family-owned Perth golf management company, to run the course after a major refurbishment. Terry Gale redesigned the layout and supervised its construction in autumn 2017, and the course reopened in October that year with an upgraded clubhouse housing the TeeBox Cafe.

The holes range from 87 to 137 metres, and the course is aimed at golfers and non-golfers alike, from beginners to players sharpening their short game.

Bookings are essential and can be made online or by phone. Green fees (updated in October 2025) are $25 for nine holes for adults, $20 for seniors card holders (not on weekends or public holidays) and $15 for juniors, with a second nine for $5. Hire clubs cost $20 a set and pull trolleys $5. The course is open every day from 5.30am to 8.45pm and closes only on Christmas Day.

Practice facilities include a putting green, a chipping area and a bunker, and Golf Oracle's qualified instructors give lessons to beginners and experienced players. The licensed TeeBox Cafe has a balcony looking over the course and lake, serves cooked breakfasts, toasties and sit-down lunches, and takes last orders at 8pm. Drinks bought at the cafe can be taken onto the course, but other alcohol is not allowed out there. Groups of eight or more pay a $10 per person deposit when booking a table.
