About the course

Links Kennedy Bay is on the coast at Port Kennedy, about 45 minutes' drive south of the Perth CBD and 15 minutes from Rockingham. The course first opened in 1999 and was relaunched in 2001, and it sits at the centre of the $425 million Kennedy Bay coastal development by Western Australia Beach and Golf Resort. Before the redevelopment it had been ranked as high as 20th in Golf Digest's Australian top 100. The facility is managed by Clublinks.

The course ran as nine holes for a period while new housing was built around it. A new 18-hole Graham Marsh layout reopened on 2 November 2025, measuring over 6,800 metres with more than 100 bunkers. It plays in a links style, with firm, fast-running fairways, tight lies, steep runoffs and unpredictable undulations.

The course is open to the public and membership is not needed. Bookings are essential and taken online only, up to four weeks ahead; for large groups call the pro shop. From Monday to Thursday green fees are $69 for 18 holes and $49 for nine, rising to $79 and $55 from Friday to Sunday and on public holidays. Twilight golf from 2.30pm is $45, seniors pay $64 for 18 holes from Monday to Thursday, and juniors pay $35 for 18 and $25 for nine. Motorised carts cost $56 for 18 holes and $38 for nine from a fleet of 50, so ask for one when booking. Dress is neat golf or leisure wear, with no board shorts, swimwear or ripped denim, and BYO alcohol is not allowed.

The driving range is over 300 metres long with a couch grass tee, open daily from 6.30am (10am on Tuesdays) with last ball sales at 5.30pm; balls come from a dispenser beside the cart shed, from $7 for 25. There is also a putting green and short game area, lessons with the club's instructors, the Birdie Restaurant in the clubhouse and new padel courts.
