About the course

The Springs Club is a public nine-hole course at 629 Forrest Road, Forrestdale, about 30 kilometres south of the Perth CBD near the Tonkin Highway, surrounded by Class A reserve bushland. The site, formerly the Armadale Golf Course, has served local golfers for more than 30 years. Golf Oracle, a family-owned Perth golf management company that also runs Lake Claremont, took over in late 2015.

The old course was well past its best, and in July 2016 a $1 million rebuild began to a design by Jeff Lane Turf Consultancy, funded by the City of Armadale, Golf Oracle and a WA Department of Sport and Recreation grant. New tees, greens and tree-lined fairways were laid over the old layout, with bunkers and water features added, and the greens are large, quick and undulating. The nine holes play to par 34 and 2,709 metres from the black tees, opening with a 475-metre par 5 and including three par 3s. The 396-metre 9th is stroke index 1. An 18-hole round means going round twice.

Green fees from 1 November 2025 are $30 for nine holes and $40 for 18 midweek, with concession rates for seniors and juniors aged 17 and under. On weekends nine holes cost $35, and on public holidays 18 holes cost $50. Motorised carts are $30 for nine holes and $50 for 18. Bookings are essential on weekends and public holidays and can be made online up to two weeks ahead.

The pro shop stocks the major brands, sells snacks and is licensed, so drinks can be bought before, during or after a round. Corporate golf days with novelty events, results and catering can be arranged.
