About the course

RACV Goldfields Resort is at 1500 Midland Highway, Creswick, about 18 minutes' drive from the Ballarat CBD, in the gold rush country of central Victoria. The golf course is part of a resort run by the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria, with accommodation, dining and bars on site.

The 18-hole, par 72 course was designed by Australian architect Tony Cashmore. It follows the natural rises and falls of the land, with sloping fairways lined by native vegetation and tall eucalypts, and bunkers and lagoons placed through the layout.

The course is open to the public, and tee times can be booked online or by phone on 03 5345 9628. Golf runs from 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 6pm Friday to Sunday. Weekday non-member fees are $45 for 18 holes and $35 for nine; weekends and public holidays are $55 and $40. RACV members pay $35 and $25 on weekdays. Juniors under 18 pay $23.50 for 18 holes and $13 for nine, and children under 10 play free. Non-member cart hire is $50 for 18 holes and $40 for nine, and clubs, shoes and pull buggies can be hired. RACV season passes cover play here and at four other RACV golf resorts.

The dress code requires collared shirts and closed shoes, with no singlets, t-shirts, denim or baggy track pants. Practice facilities include a practice fairway, putting green and warm-up nets. The golf shop, open from 8am weekdays and 7.30am weekends, sells apparel and accessories and handles equipment hire.
